Its almost an hour and a half left before the last day of Ramadan ends.
'Which means tomorrow will be Eid-ul-Fitr. If you don't know what it is, its the religious festival celebrated by muslims the world over to mark the end of the fasting month that is Ramadan.
So in this post i'll tell you how we celebrate Eid in Pakistan.
Celebrations begin with the sighting of the new moon the night before. People start greeting Eid Mubarak to each other. The night before the Eid is called Chand Raat(a rough translation would be 'the moon night').
Chand raat is the night to do your last minute shopping, so shoppers, mostly women throng the highly decorated markets to buy bangles and get mehndi(henna), go to a tailor which hasn't finished their eid outfit or get other accessories together.
At homes and beauty salons, girls start making henna patterns on their hands or get them applied by those who can apply it.
What do men do on chand raat? they take women shopping while younger men.. errr crowd the markets look at girls shopping about. lol
