A Kim and Kanye Wedding Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need to Know About Their Nuptials

In the world of celebrity, Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West is going to be one of the the biggest events since… her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries!
The official wedding festivities began Friday evening, when Kim and Kanye welcomed their loved ones at the Palace of Versailles. While palace officials tweeted in February that a wedding at the historic venue wasn't going to happen, the bride, groom, and officials at the Louis XIV estate released a statement this week:
"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to let their guests discover the Château of Versailles during a private surprise tour on Friday, May 23, the eve of their wedding. In making this choice, they are contributing to a better understanding and maintaining the exceptional heritage of the castle of Versailles, which is classed a World Heritage site UNESCO."
Guests will be treated to a private guided tour, where they'll have access to explore the famed gardens, The Hall of Mirrors, the King's Grand Apartments, and beyond. On Monday, members of the couple's team were spotted on the property, prepping and reviewing security.
While guests reportedly still don't quite know the how or when, they are expected to be whisked away from Paris presumably by private plane to Florence, where the official nuptials are set to take place on Saturday.
A rep for the Florence mayor's office told the Associated Press that Forte di Belvedere, a fort built in the 16th century, will serve as the location for the ceremony featuring a Protestant pastor and a lavish reception. The cost was a cool $410,000, but hey, what's a few bucks for a first (and third) wedding? Workers were seen prepping the venue in the days leading up to the wedding, erecting tents and other structures. Both Paris and Florence hold special meaning for the couple. They've visited the French capital often, and even Kim's bridal shower was Parisian-themed. Kanye recently revealed that the Italian metropolis might have the edge, though. "I think we conceived our daughter North here, among the masterpieces of the Renaissance," he told the city's La Nazione newspaper. "It was our first honeymoon."
Much like her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries, expect to see Kim go through several costume changes throughout her big day. While she hasn't yet revealed who the lucky designer(s) will be, all signs point to Balmain, Valentino, Givenchy, or Lanvin (which she wore on the cover of Vogue, as well as to the Met Gala earlier this month). Kim wore a trio of Vera Wang creations for her second wedding, so it's a safe bet she won't wear the beloved designer this time around.
