NBA dunk contest may have been weak, but it's fixing to be downright death-defying in a few years.
Last month, Duke-bound shooting guard Grayson Allen stole the show at the McDonald's All-American
Game's annual JamFest, and then Compton (Calif.) High's Iziahiah Sweeney went and nearly lay parallel with the rim during his victory at the 2014 Ballislife All-American Dunk Contest over the weekend.

If any dunk warrants a selfie with the trophy, it's this Don Quixote dunk we'll call Tilting at Windmills. While Dominique Wilkins remains the gold standard of windmill dunkers, the lateral angle of Sweeney's dunk —which allowed him to bring the ball below his bent left knee — place him in rarefied air.

A word to the wise: Sweeney is still undecided on a collegiate destination after helping lead Compton to California's Division II state semifinals this past winter, so recruiters better get their texts in now.

Of course, Sweeney wasn't the only prep basketball recruit showing off his hops at the Ballislife dunk contest. The event also featured Isaiah Bailey, Dontae Caldwell, Isaac Copeland, Daniel Hamilton, Ahmed Hill and Stanley Johnson.

The field produced a must-watch array of dunks — most of which would've won the NBA competition — that included stunning alley-oops to the Georgetown-bound Copeland and Arizona-bound Johnson.
