The 17-year-old pop star graduated from his Atlanta high school on Thursday and was named valedictorian of his class
"High school graduation ceremony this evening. honored to say I'll be receiving Valedictorian at the school in which I was administered."
His top honors also scored him a commencement speech, where he chatted about his achievements while balancing his busy schedule, which included his recent stint on Dancing With the Stars.
"Something that I've learned due to a lot of experiences of mine is that it is possible to finish high school amidst having a very busy schedule and amidst working relentlessly towards chasing my wildest dreams," Cody told the crowd in one of two videos that he shared on his Instagram account.
In his second video he told his classmates, "Intelligence is the sexiest thing in the entire world."
Simpson, who recently split from his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, also shared a couple thoughts in one of the video captions about his high school experience.
"Proud times! graduated high school as Valedictorian of my class today. finished high school at home administered through this lovely school here in the South, proud to have received the highest GPA of the school amidst this hectic lifestyle of mine. Anything can be accomplished if you open your mind!"
Sadly, the cute crooner didn't have too much time to enjoy his academic success. The next day he was off to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a concert and is currently prepping for his upcoming tour in Europe.
